Music Workshops for Deaf Children and Children with Special Needs

A total of 390 children received music workshops from Halimeh, a deaf Palestinian music workshop leader trained by Musicians Without Borders. A total of 124 deaf children, 203 underserved children, and 63 children with special needs (not deaf) participated in Halimeh’s music workshops. In 2022, Halimeh gave a total of 512 music workshops including Music as Therapy sessions. The workshops were given at two locations in Ramallah: the Palestinian Red Crescent School for deaf children and the Jasmine Charitable Society for children with special needs. Several schools from Ramallah visited the school for deaf children and joined Halimeh’s workshops for mixed groups in order to connect hearing and deaf children and to raise awareness. Prelude was one of the main donors of this program.
