Sing and Smile Workshops

During the months of April, May and June, 2012, more than 2000 children enjoyed music and creative workshops given by workshop leaders from refugee camps trained by Holy Land Trust and Musicians without Borders.

Participants of the workshops included children from refugee camps, visually-impaired children, children with cancer, and children with special needs. They sang, danced, drew, and played games. Fadi the Clown made them laugh and for an hour forget their troubles.

Fadi, a 28-year-old man from Aida refugee camp, has been working with small children for the past three years. He especially tries to reach those who need it the most, gathering children in the streets of refugee camps, and visiting sick children in hospitals.

“I am happy with what I do with these kids,” says Fadi, when they greet me with a smile, and leave me with a smile.”
